The Claypaky Mythos 2 is an outstanding hybrid moving head unit, with excellent performance whether used as a spot, wash, or beam. It’s a robust unit, built for the rigours of touring and regular rental use. Additionally, we supply all Mythos 2 units, when ordered as pairs, in genuine Claypaky Roadster flight cases.
The Mythos 2 runs a powerful, custom-designed Osram 440-watt lamp. As a result, it produces an outstanding, large light beam. Its zoom ranges from 4° to 50°, a 1:12 ratio. Therefore, the beam stays crisp and sharp across its entire length, from the lens through to many tens of metres away.

The Mythos 2 moves smoothly, quickly, and quietly. It also features fixed and rotating gobos, alongside an indexed visual effect disc. This disc can be superimposed on all the gobos, both in and out of focus. Therefore, designers get an additional creative layer well beyond standard gobo effects.
The Mythos 2 isn’t just a versatile spot and wash unit — it’s also an exceptional beam light. It switches to a minimum fixed beam angle of just 2.5°. This produces a large, very dense, 160mm-diameter beam. The beam leaves the front lens and stays parallel for its entire length, even at considerable distances. As a result, it’s perfect for super-defined mid-air effects in large venues, and outdoors when suitably protected.
