JBL SRX918SF Flyable Subwoofer
The JBL SRX918SF is a powered, flyable single 18-inch subwoofer with an integrated three-point rigging system, built to complement SRX900 Series full-range systems. It features Differential Drive technology, built-in DSP and amplification, for consistent, high-output low-end in suspended or ground-stacked configurations.
Description
The JBL SRX918SF is a powered, flyable single 18-inch subwoofer. It’s built for suspended or ground-stacked use alongside SRX900 Series full-range systems.
For example, a built-in three-point rigging system lets you suspend units in standalone arrays. Alternatively, you can pair them with SRX910LA cabinets in mixed-array setups.
Powerful, Consistent Low End
The subwoofer runs a JBL 2279-1 18-inch woofer, using Differential Drive — JBL’s dual voice coil, dual gap design. As a result, it gives better heat spread, lower power loss, and a wider dynamic range than standard single-coil designs.
On top of that, built-in DSP and amplification make setup simple and plug-and-play. Therefore, engineers get steady, top-tier performance wherever they set the system up.
The SRX918SF also uses a large low-frequency port. As a result, this boosts airflow and cuts down noise, even at high volume.
In addition, a strong 18mm birch plywood cabinet adds extra toughness on the road. Meanwhile, a full software package gives you complete system control across Windows, macOS, and iPadOS.

Built for Touring
Dual Ethernet ports with Neutrik etherCON connectors give engineers steady network access on the road. Meanwhile, JBL Performance software, running over HARMAN’s HControl protocol, handles full control and setup.
What’s more, user-controllable DSP and LevelMax limiting work together to protect speakers. Therefore, they use smart tools that stop the speakers being pushed too hard.
As a result, the SRX918SF stays reliable and steady. Therefore, it works well whether it’s flown above a festival stage or ground-stacked at a corporate event.
