Description

The SRX900 Series embodies the ideas that drive JBL’s development of pro audio gear. This next-generation family of powered line arrays and subwoofers meets a growing need for scalable, small and medium-format sound systems. As a result, it suits rental companies, fixed installs, and musicians after the best mix of power and portability.

The SRX918S is a single 18-inch active subwoofer. It’s built to pair with SRX900 Series full-range systems.

It runs a JBL 2279-1 18-inch woofer, using Differential Drive — JBL’s dual voice coil, dual gap design. Therefore, it gives better heat spread, lower power loss, and a wider dynamic range than standard single-coil designs.

Powerful, Consistent Low End

Built-in DSP and amp power make setup simple and plug-and-play. Therefore, engineers get steady, top-tier performance wherever they set the system up.

The SRX918S also uses a large low-frequency port. As a result, this boosts airflow and cuts down noise, even at high volume.

Dual Ethernet ports with Neutrik etherCON connectors give engineers steady network access on the road. Meanwhile, HARMAN HControl Ethernet support gives full control and setup across a networked system.

What’s more, user-controllable DSP and LevelMax limiting work together to protect speakers. They use smart tools that stop the speakers being pushed too hard. As a result, the SRX918S stays reliable and steady. Therefore, it works well whether it’s ground-stacked at a corporate event or driving low-end for a full touring rig.
