Job Title - Live Event Production Coordinator

Location: Hornsby (main office) and then working on the East Coast of Australia

Department: Production

Reports To: General Manager

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Live Event Production Coordinator** to join our fast-paced event production team. The ideal candidate will support the execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events by coordinating logistics, liaising with clients and vendors, and ensuring seamless production delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of live event production, from pre-production through post-event wrap-up.
  • Serve as the liaison between clients, internal teams, venues, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage event timelines, production schedules, and crew calls.
  • Assist with budgeting, procurement, and invoicing for event-related expenses.
  • Ensure all equipment and resources are booked, delivered, and tested on schedule.
  • Oversee on-site setup, operation, and breakdown of production elements.
  • Troubleshoot technical or logistical issues during events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of production equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Production, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years’ experience in live event production, stage management, or AV coordination.
  • Valid WWCC (Mandatory)

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of AV systems (audio, video, lighting, rigging).
  • Familiarity with production software (e.g., Vectorworks, QLab, Showcaller Pro, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, evenings, and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA or safety training certification.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Job Title - Warehouse Technician / Driver – Live Event Production

Location: Hornsby (main office) and then working on the East Coast of Australia

Department: Production / Warehouse

Reports To: General Manager

Job Type: Full Time / Part Time

Job Summary:

To support the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse by preparing, maintaining, and transporting professional audio, lighting, and staging equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about live events, highly organized, technically skilled, and reliable behind the wheel.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

  • Pick, prep, and pack gear for upcoming shows and productions
  • Conduct incoming/outgoing equipment checks (damage, functionality, cleanliness)
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks/vans safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Support rental gear turnover and restocking processes

Technical Support:

  • Perform basic testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on audio, lighting, and power equipment
  • Assist in labelling, organizing, and storing gear properly
  • Keep up with technical trends in live production gear and help improve processes

Driving & Logistics:

  • Safely transport equipment to and from venues or client locations
  • Load/unload equipment on-site as needed
  • Adhere to company safety regulations
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and basic maintenance reporting

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with audio and/or lighting systems (live events, concerts, AV rentals, etc.)
  • Strong technical understanding of cables, power, signal flow, and general gear prep
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a team-first mindset

Desirable Skills (Bonus but not essential):

  • Experience driving box trucks or sprinter vans
  • Forklift certification.
  • Basic electrical knowledge or experience with power distro
  • Event site support or show crew experience

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time / Part-time, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends depending on event schedules

Job Title: Event Rigger

Department: Production / Technical
Reports to: Head Rigger 
Location: Warehouse & Varies (Event Venues, Studios, On-site)
Job Type: Full-time / Part - Time  / Contract-Based

Job Purpose:

The Event Rigger is responsible for safely installing, securing, and dismantling rigging systems for events such as concerts, corporate events, theatre shows, exhibitions, and festivals. This includes hanging lighting, audio, video, and scenic elements using rigging equipment and ensuring all setups meet safety and structural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical rigging plans, load calculations, and event specifications.
  • Install and dismantle rigging systems including motors, trusses, shackles, and hoists.
  • Safely suspend lighting, sound, video, and scenic equipment from structures or ceilings.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with production managers, lighting/audio/video crews, and venue staff.
  • Operate chain hoists (manual and electric), pulleys, and other lifting equipment.
  • Assist with ground rigging and fly systems when required.
  • Report any unsafe equipment or practices and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Keep rigging gear organized, maintained, and logged.
  • Adhere to tight schedules and deadlines, including early starts and late finishes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event rigging or a similar technical production role.
  • Good understanding of load calculations and structural limits.
  • Competent in using rigging equipment such as trusses, motors, and fall arrest systems.
  • Working knowledge of rigging safety standards
  • Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding conditions.
  • Certification in rigging
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in live entertainment, concerts, theatre, or corporate AV events.
  • Familiarity with CAD or Vectorworks for rigging plans.
  • First aid certification.
  • Mechanical or electrical knowledge is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Physically demanding work; requires lifting, climbing, and working in high or confined spaces.
  • Long hours and tight turnarounds, often outdoors or in temporary venues.
  • Exposure to noise, lighting, and sometimes extreme weather conditions.
