Allen & Heath’s legendary digital mixer is reborn. It’s supercharged with a 96kHz XCVI core for DEEP Processing capabilities. The Qu-5D also brings an increased channel count, fully flexible patching across 4 customisable layers, and a completely redesigned user interface. Additionally, it adds significant hardware upgrades, extended connectivity, and Dante built in.
The new Qu-5D keeps the much-loved appearance and form factor of the original Qu series. However, multiple hardware improvements lift the sonic performance and mixing experience. Updated microphone preamps and high-performance 96kHz AD/DA converters work together to deliver pristine audio to and from the XCVI core. Therefore, every detail of the source signal stays intact.

DEEP Processing and Assistive Tools
The Qu-5D is now DEEP Processing ready. As a result, it brings acclaimed add-ons from Allen & Heath’s flagship dLive system to the Qu platform for the first time. Additionally, Qu now features the Feedback and Gain Assistants from the CQ series, taking the stress out of setup and speeding up soundchecks.
The Gain Assistant streamlines the setup process. It quickly and precisely sets the ideal gain level across one or more input channels, while continuously monitoring levels during the performance. Therefore, unwanted peaks and surprises stay off the table. Meanwhile, the Feedback Assistant automatically identifies and removes problematic frequencies, with up to 16 filters per output. As a result, engineers can mix with confidence, without constantly fighting feedback.
The 32-channel Automatic Mic Mixer rounds out the assistive tools. It makes the Qu-5D a strong choice for conferences, panel talks, and TV production work. Since it’s fully integrated into the mixer, there’s no added latency and no need to route audio out to an external DSP rack or plugin system.
